The Five Devotions

Visibility

Being seen — not projected upon. She returns the gaze on her own terms.

Unshamed Bodies

Stretch marks, softness, and fullness rendered as sacred detail — never retouched away.

Devotion to Self

Rituals of care, rest, and self-regard. The Sunday reset as ceremony.

Sacral Devotion

Pleasure as sacred practice — vitality, creativity, and sexuality governed by her.

Black Love

Safe, tender, unperformative intimacy. Love depicted as sanctuary, not spectacle.

MMXXVI

The Body Is a Temple,
Not a Test

A collection of raw, intimate portraits and dreamlike interiors honoring curvy Black women — visible, unshamed, and devoted to their own pleasure, softness, and love. These works reject the shame attached to beautiful, full Black bodies and the projections placed upon them. Here, the body is not being corrected. It is not being performed. It is being revealed — in light, in water, in honey, in the arms of a love that feels like sanctuary.

Three works release as signed limited editions of 50. Archival pigment prints on museum-quality fine-art paper. Certificate of authenticity included.

The Studio

Abena Segun is an ethereal art studio creating raw, magnetic visual worlds where curvy Black women are visible, unshamed, and devoted to their own pleasure, softness, and love.

We are not an image feed. Each collection is a world — named, written, and built to be lived with as modern heirlooms. The body is never the punchline, the before, or the apology.

Notes

Body Notes

“She was never too much. She was only taught to measure herself against rooms that were too small.”

Devotion Studies

“Rest is not a reward, it is a right.”

Black Love Notes

“Sanctuary is a room and a person.”
